Larson Congratulates East Hartford High School Girls Basketball Team on House Floor

Last night, Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01) congratulated the East Hartford High School girls basketball team on the House floor for winning their first state championship. The East Hartford Hornets defeated Wilton, with a final score of 54-33, in the Class LL State Finals at Mohegan Sun on March 20th.

"The girls team has won the state championship for the first time in the school's history," said Larson. "50 years ago, Maureen Rogers ushered in modern-day girls' basketball at then-Penney High School. These young women demonstrated that legacy and brought home the state championship to East Hartford, Connecticut."
