Cassidy Announces Louisiana to Receive an Additional $82 Million for Bridges from Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill

U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) today announced that Louisiana will receive an additional $82,095,555 in bridge funding from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, which includes $16,419,111 this fiscal year. This is in addition to the previously announced $202.6 million in bridge funding for this year, bringing the total amount of 2022 bridge funding to more than $219 million from Cassidy's infrastructure law. Louisiana will receive approximately $1 billion over five years to repair bridges and infrastructure.

"More great news for Louisiana and the future of our infrastructure thanks to the bipartisan infrastructure bill," said Dr. Cassidy. "This funding makes a huge impact on bridge projects across the state."
