Barrasso Statement on 40-Year Record-High Inflation

U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-Wyo.), chairman of the Senate Republican Conference, issued the following statement after the March 2022 Consumer Price Index (CPI) numbers showed inflation rose 8.5 percent year-over-year.

"Month after month, Democrats have blamed the highest inflation in 40 years on everything but their failing policies. It has to end now. We must rein in reckless government spending and restore American energy dominance. Families across the country cannot afford to wait."
