Luján Statement on President Biden's Budget Proposal

Today, U.S. Senator Ben Ray Luján (D-N.M.), a member of the Senate Budget Committee, issued the following statement on President Biden's budget proposal:

"President Biden made clear with this budget proposal that his Administration is focused on American families -- their pocketbooks, their health, and their security," said Luján. "By investing in child welfare, strengthening our National Labs, and supporting law enforcement, President Biden's budget also prioritizes the issues important to New Mexicans. The President's budget underscores fiscal responsibility by requiring billionaires and corporations to pay their fair share in taxes to reduce the deficit and fund critical projects, such as housing development and job creation. I applaud the President for supporting New Mexico with this budget, and I look forward to working with the Biden-Harris Administration and my Senate colleagues to ensure that our budget continues to reflect our values."
