Today, Congressman Andy Biggs voted against H.R. 6968-- Suspending Energy Imports from Russia Act.
"This is Nancy Pelosi's fake Russian oil sanctions bill," said Congressman Andy Biggs. "If Democrats were serious about sanctioning Russia, they would not give President Biden broad authority to waive the sanctions once they take effect.
"Additionally, this bill will not alleviate the energy crisis here at home. Congress should sanction Russian oil and enact policies that will make America energy independent again. President Biden's plan to ban Russian oil only to buy it from other dictators will hurt Americans. Congress must re-enact the Trump policies that made America energy independent."
