Congresswoman Nancy Mace (SC-01) released the following statement after Amazon endorsed her States Reform Act, which would end the Federal prohibition of cannabis:

"Amazon is making a common-sense decision that many other businesses, large and small, agree with," said Rep. Nancy Mace. "Amazon employs nearly a million U.S. workers, and this opens up their hiring pool by about 10 percent. Cannabis reform is supported by over three quarters of the American public, and the States Reform Act is something both sides of the aisle can get behind."

Amazon said it was "pleased to endorse" Rep. Mace's bill:

"Like so many in this country, we believe it's time to reform the nation's cannabis policy and Amazon is committed to helping lead the effort."

"We are enthused by the notable momentum in the country toward recognizing that today's status quo is unfair and untenable," the company wrote in a blog post. "We look forward to working with Congress and other supporters to secure necessary reform of the nation's cannabis laws."
