"Today, with the confirmation of the Debt Adjustment Plan, one of the most important steps is taken for Puerto Rico to get ahead economically and get rid of one of the most coarse of our colonial condition, the Fiscal Control Board.
The goal of every public official in all branches of government must be clear: to maximize the economic resources of our people in order to maintain balanced budgets, without incurring deficits, and to foster the economic growth of our Island.
We must continue to focus on attracting various industries that generate new economic activity and thereby create good jobs for our people."
