Rep. Barry Moore (AL-02) released the following statement regarding news reports that Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer will retire.

"During the twelve months they have had total control of the House, Senate, and White House, Washington Democrats have been hellbent on pushing as far to the Left as possible while ignoring the border, economic, inflation, labor, crime, and pandemic crises plaguing Americans," said Moore. "With the retirement of Justice Breyer, President Biden has a unique and historic opportunity to finally take a step towards living up to his campaign promises of unity and responsible governance by nominating a mainstream jurist who will adhere to the Constitution, not a political party. I sincerely hope that after a year of failures, President Biden will finally show the strength to stand up to the radical socialist activists who have captured control of the Democratic Party and begin restoring the American people's trust in our system of government by nominating someone they can support."
