Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01) released the following statement after House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman Peter DeFazio announced he was going to retire after this term of Congress.
"Peter DeFazio led the charge to get the bipartisan infrastructure law across the finish line. Without his leadership we would not have passed one of the largest investments in our nation's infrastructure. To say he will be missed in Congress is an understatement. I have been honored to host him in Hartford many times and have appreciated his insight and support to address our local infrastructure challenges, especially the I-84/I-91 interchange. I wish him the best as he starts this new chapter," said Larson.
