Location: Washington, DC

Today Congresswoman Suzanne Bonamici (D-OR) joined the House in passing the Build Back Better Act.

"The Build Back Better Act is a victory for children, families, caregivers, early childhood educators, and our planet," said Congresswoman Suzanne Bonamici. "This monumental legislation will improve lives and create more opportunities for Oregonians and people across the country. We are taking bold action that will lower child care and family care costs, make essential health care more affordable, create good-paying jobs, provide more affordable housing, and address the climate crisis.

"Importantly, these investments are completely paid for by asking large corporations and the wealthiest to pay their fair share. The Build Back Better Act will create more stability and security for families by lowering everyday costs and easing inflationary pressures.

"It is past time that we provide the resources and support that working families and our communities need to thrive. This is an exciting day for our country, and I look forward to delivering these resources to Oregon."
