Sen. Marshall Statement on OSHA Vaccine Mandate Rule

Statement

Date: Nov. 4, 2021
Location: Washington, DC

U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, M.D. issued the following statement after the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) issued their vaccine mandate for employers with more than 100 employees.

"This federal vaccine mandate is unconstitutional and I can't think of a worse decision for Joe Biden to make right now. Inflation, the labor shortage, and the vaccine mandate are the number one issues I hear about back home, and this rule is going to exasperate an already horrible situation," said Senator Marshall. "Joe Biden's vaccine mandate is going to create more supply chain blocks and that's going to lead to more inflation -- of course Joe Biden knows this so he's decided to hold off on enforcement until after the holidays. I will continue to do everything in my power to put a stop to this unconstitutional mandate."

Senator Marshall was asked about the OSHA rule earlier this morning at a press conference. You may click HERE or on the image below to watch his response.

Background:

Senator Marshall has been leading the fight in the U.S. Senate to halt President Biden's vaccine mandate and to get the Administration to recognize the importance natural immunity.

Yesterday, he led a letter with several Republican Senators pledging to oppose ALL efforts to implement and enforce Joe Biden's vaccine mandate particularly on upcoming spending measures considered by the U.S. Senate. Last week, following numerous roundtable discussions in Kansas City, Topeka, and Wichita with union workers who are literally faced with the decision of job or jab, Senator Marshall requested leaders of the Senate HELP, Agriculture, Small Business, and Energy Committees to hold hearings with Kansas union workers to discuss the vaccine mandates. These workers are at risk of losing their jobs over the mandate and in turn further exacerbating the labor shortage and supply chain crisis, and further stifling economic recovery.
