Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher Hosts Service Academy Day

On Saturday, Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher (TX-07) held a U.S. military service academy resource fair where high school students and their families heard from representatives from military service academies. Representatives spoke about their institutions and discussed the application and nomination processes.

"Nominating outstanding young Houstonians to U.S. military service academies each year is one of the highest privileges of my job in Congress," said Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher. "It is inspiring to see so many bright, young students serving our country in our armed forces. I am grateful to the representatives from the U.S. military service academies who attended Saturday's resource fair for sharing information for our students and their families."

Representatives from the following U.S. military service academies attended the resource fair:

U.S. Air Force Academy (Colorado Springs, CO)
U.S. Naval Academy (Annapolis, MD)
U.S. Military Academy (West Point, NY)
U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (Kings Point, NY)
