Bice Votes to Extend Highway Funding After Democrats Fail to Agree on Infrastructure

Washington, D.C. -- Rep. Stephanie Bice (OK-05) issued the following statement today after the House voted to pass H.R. 5763, the Further Surface Transportation Extension Act. Bice supported the measure.

"Tonight, rather than work on a bipartisan infrastructure package, House Democrats kicked the can down the road and put up another short-term extension for highway programs until December 3rd. The country is headed for a December fiscal cliff, which will include hitting the debt ceiling, an end to highway funding and no agreement on government funding. This is no way to govern this country.
