Larson Hosts Speaker Pelosi in East Hartford, Celebrates Biden's Child Tax Credit

East Hartford, CT -- Today, Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01) hosted House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to celebrate the expanded Biden Child Tax Credit, passed earlier this year as part of House Democrats' American Rescue Plan.

"President Biden's expanded Child Tax Credit, authored by Connecticut's own Rosa DeLauro, is the single largest anti-poverty program for children in our country. That's why we must make it permanent in the upcoming Build Back Better legislation. The average family received a tax cut more than two-times larger than what they received under the 2017 GOP tax bill in the American Rescue Plan. 77 percent of children in the First Congressional District will benefit from this expanded tax credit," said Larson. "None of this could have been done without Speaker Nancy Pelosi. She is one of the greatest legislators of our time and continues to get the job done."
