Congressman Frank J. Mrvan released the statement below following today's tragic events in Afghanistan.
"My thoughts and prayers today are with the families and loved ones of our U.S. servicemembers and personnel who paid the ultimate sacrifice in Afghanistan.
"After discussions with my colleagues, Administration officials, and the Northwest Indiana veteran community, I believe that today's attack demonstrates the absolute importance and urgency of ensuring the safety of all Americans and our Afghan allies who remain in theater."
