Governor Sununu Statement Regarding HB 567, Signs 14 Bills Into Law

Concord, NH -- Today, after signing 14 bills into law, Governor Chris Sununu issued the following statement regarding HB 567, an act permitting certain military personnel, emergency medical technicians, and paramedics to apply for licensure as a nursing assistant:

"By codifying Emergency Order 78 into law, this bill provides yet another tool to ensure that health care providers across the Granite State are able to maintain their workforce and provide quality care well beyond the COVID-19 pandemic," said Governor Chris Sununu. "Whether it was our current or former military personnel with medical backgrounds, EMTs, paramedics, or Licensed Nursing Assistants -- those in the medical field stepped up throughout COVID-19, and this bill ensures we do the same for them by breaking down barriers and streamlining systems."

A list of the 14 bills signed into law by Governor Sununu today is below:

HB 298, An act adding a member to the aviation users advisory board
HB 306, An act relative to revenue estimates while operating under emergency orders caused by the COVID-19 pandemic
HB 311, An act establishing a committee to study rail trail best management practices
HB 486, An act relative to eligibility for the low and moderate income homeowners property tax relief
HB 555, An act relative to prisoners' voting rights
HB 567, An act permitting certain military personnel, emergency medical technicians, and paramedics to apply for licensure as a nursing assistant
HB 606, An act exempting services provided without remuneration from license requirements for barbering, cosmetology, and esthetics
SB 23, An act changing the requirement that a member of the sponsoring charitable organization be present during certain games of chance
SB 25, An act relative to charity gaming licenses
SB 46, An act relative to the use of electronic poll books by cities and towns
SB 48, An act relative to the formula used to determine current use tax rates
