Senator John Hoeven this week joined Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) in introducing a Senate resolution recognizing the Greatest Generation and honoring the men and women who made countless personal sacrifices during World War II.

"America's Greatest Generation sacrificed so much to defend our values and our way of life," said Hoeven. "We are forever indebted to these men and women for heeding the call to serve our nation both at home and abroad. Their legacy of service, sacrifice and patriotism continues to bless our nation today. I am pleased to join my colleagues in introducing this resolution to thank and honor these heroes that gave so much. They fought, they sacrificed and many of them died to ensure that we and our children could continue to live free."

In addition to Hoeven and Tuberville, the resolution was sponsored by Senators Kevin Cramer (R-N.D.), Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), Raphael Warnock (D-Ga.), Cynthia Lummis (R-Wyo.), Rick Scott (R-Flor.), Mike Braun (R-Ind.) and Bill Hagerty (R-Tenn.).
