Time and time again, Washington Democrats have chosen power over principle. Their endless pursuit of a far-left, radical agenda is looking more and more like principles of socialism, and less and less like the values of a constitutional republic.

In the first 100 days of Democratic control, they have shown that there is no line that they will not cross in their efforts to expand their political power and increase the size and scope of the federal government.

This Congress, House Democrats have been on a power-grabbing roll: First, they tried to take over our electoral system by removing state control over elections and placing that power in the hands of unelected federal bureaucrats. Then, they threatened the Second Amendment with numerous gun-grabbing bills to limit the Constitutional rights of every law abiding American.

Now, the socialist left is trying to expand the size of the Supreme Court to give the Democrats an ideological advantage on the bench. Taking over the courts is the first thing that happens in socialist countries for one party for gain complete control and that's exactly what they're attempting to do here. President Biden, who once called President Roosevelt's failed court-packing proposal a "bonehead idea" and a "terrible, terrible mistake" is now drinking the Kool-Aid and going along with the far-left's demands.

And finally, their latest action is attempting to solidify their Democratic majority in the U.S. Senate to by attempting to make Washington, D.C. a state. With over 75 percent voting Democrat in the past twelve presidential elections, Washington D.C. is an overwhelmingly Democratic stronghold and becoming a state would give Chuck Schumer two more Democratic senators in Congress.

They go to these great lengths because they know that because the vast majority of Americans do not support their radical agenda, they must change the rules of the game to get their way. The defining characteristic of liberal Washington is the pursuit of absolute power. And if there's one thing we know for sure, it's that absolute power corrupts absolutely.
