U.S. Congresswoman Victoria Spartz (R-Ind.) participated in a ribbon cutting at the VA Northern Indiana Health Care System - Marion Campus today, celebrating the grand reopening of their renovated patient care spaces. The renovation project relocated the Dental, Audiology and Optometry Clinic from the 2nd floor to the 4th floor of Building 138, which created nearly 24,000 square feet of additional space for the expansion of lab, telehealth, and other specialty care services.

The renovations modernized the facility and will better serve Hoosier veterans by allowing doctors to see more patients.

"We owe a lot to our veterans. We cannot forget those who sacrificed for us. They put their lives on the line for our freedoms, and we need to provide better and more timely services for them when they return home," said Rep. Spartz. "It is great to see the VA Northern Indiana Health Care System in Marion take steps to improve their operations to better serve our veteran community. I appreciate the work that Michael Hershman and his team are doing, and I am committed to working with them to ensure the Marion campus upholds its obligations to Hoosier veterans."

"VA Northern Indiana Health Care System would like to thank Congresswoman Spartz for attending our ribbon cutting ceremony for the reopening of the renovated patient care spaces of the Marion Campus," said Michael Hershman, VA Northern Indiana Health Care System Director. "We appreciate Congresswoman Spartz's dedication to Veteran Health Care and her excitement for the opening of the new patient care spaces. Thank you for your continuing support of our mission."

The Marion VA Medical Center serves veterans in Marion and the surrounding areas providing primary care, medical and surgical specialty care, and mental health services.
