Congressman Scott DesJarlais (R-TN-04) received a 96% rating from the American Conservative Union Foundation (ACUF) for 2020's 116th Congress.

This year's scorecard ranking marks the 50th Edition of ACUF's annual Ratings of Congress.

"I am humbled and honored to receive the highest rating for the Tennessee Congressional House Delegation," said DesJarlais. "I will always fight for personal responsibility, limited government and our constitutional rights."

Rep. Scott DesJarlais holds the top spot among U.S. House lawmakers in Tennessee by seven percent. He ranks number one alongside Sen. Marsha Blackburn who also received a 96% rating for her work in the Senate.

"Tennessee is blessed to have a host of conservative representation," said Congressman DesJarlais.

"ACUF's Center for Legislative Accountability researches and selects a range of bills

to evaluate a member's adherence to conservative principles," states the 2020 Ratings of Congress document. It later continues, "The wide range of issues covered are designed to give citizens an accurate assessment of how Members of Congress view the role of government in an individual's life."

"Voting the values of my district has been and always will be my top priority," said DesJarlais. "Tennessee's Fourth Congressional District is full of principled conservatives who will always choose what is right over what is popular."

Rep. DesJarlais also has the highest lifetime average among his Tennessee colleagues with a 93.38% rating.

"I will continue voting for policies that are rooted in fiscal-conservancy and that will create effective change. The Fourth District is not impressed by Pelosi and Schumer's political theater," he said. "I know my constituents want to see pandering to the far-left come to an end and for progressives to stop reversing every Trump-era policy."
