Location: Washington, DC

Today, Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher (TX-07) voted in support of H.R. 842, the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act. This legislation protects the rights of workers to organize and collectively bargain. The PRO Act passed the House of Representatives, 225-206.

"Free association, collective action, and organization are at the core of our democratic society. I voted today to protect those rights for workers by ensuring the ability of those who seek to organize and form unions to do so," said Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher. "The PRO Act strengthens federal labor laws and protects workers' rights to organize and advocate for better wages, benefits, and working conditions."

The Protecting the Right to Organize Act protects the right to join a union:

Empowering workers to exercise their rights to organize
Providing accountability for violations of workers' rights; and
Establishing stronger safeguards to ensure workers can hold free, fair, and safe union elections.
