Congressman Anthony G. Brown (MD-04) released the following statement on the historic inauguration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris:

"President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have called on all Americans to come together in order to build our country back. Through unity, President Biden will lead our nation to overcome the challenges we face from the pandemic, a struggling economy, racial disparities and climate change. He will not be able to do this alone. Americans across the country must step up, mask and distance in order to slow the spread of the deadly coronavirus and save lives. Congress and other elected officials must put petty partisanship and political games aside and deliver meaningful relief for those who are struggling. I look forward to being an ally of President Biden and Vice President Harris in the years ahead.

"We have an opportunity to rebuild and restore our nation. We must strengthen our national security, which has been tested by threats from abroad and domestic terror at home.
