Our community has been disproportionately impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and during these unprecedented times, Representative Moran, has been a relentless advocate for the residents of the 17th Essex District.

Frank has humbly been purchasing food and essential supplies for families in Lawrence who have been financially impacted by this pandemic and has provided hundreds of protective equipment to some of our most at-risk, elderly neighbors.

At the State House, Frank helped pass a $1.1 billion supplemental budget to bolster the Commonwealth's response to the COVID-19 pandemic that included $350 million for personal protective equipment for our first responders, $85 million for hospitals and community shelters, $44 million for community contact tracing, $36 million for emergency healthcare for essential workers, and $2 million to have continued COVID-19 testing for nursing home residents and staff.

Frank filed three amendments to this bill that secured $950,000 in direct funding to assist our community expand its rapid rehousing and housing stabilization efforts, to assist families who have lost their jobs due to the pandemic, and mitigate the ongoing issue of food insecurity.
