Issue Position

I will protect the right of all Utahns to keep and bear arms as protected by the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution and the Utah Constitution. Like all law-abiding citizens, I abhor the actions of criminals and murderers who commit heinous crimes. As a society, we should continually look for ways to stem the tide of violence by looking at and researching the societal causes of violence.

As your Representative, I will fight aggressively against any gun control or confiscation legislation disguised as violence prevention measures. These laws infringe on the rights of Utahns while doing nothing to protect them. I will support real legislation that does look at protecting Utahns against violence without infringing on rights.
