Issue Position

Our global, regional, and local economies are changing, and we need to invest in our workforce to adapt. We need to make sure our workforce has the necessary skills to meet the demands of high-growth industries like renewable energies, manufacturing, information technology, and healthcare. We must also eliminate overly burdensome regulations that are discouraging the wind energy industry from bringing jobs to Ohio. I am proud of my work to bolster job creation in the renewable energy and automotive sectors by co-authoring HB 202 - a bill that will establish the Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Committee and use Volkswagen's payout to Ohio to help create infrastructure chargers. This work will incentivize electric vehicle companies to scale up in Ohio. We have a tremendous opportunity to invest in our future and provide secure, high-paying jobs for many years to come.
