Governor Chris Sununu Statement Following NH Supreme Court Ruling on Laurie List

Statement

Date: Oct. 30, 2020
Location: Concord, NH

Today, Governor Chris Sununu issued the following statement after the New Hampshire Supreme Court ruled that the Exculpatory Evidence Schedule, known as the Laurie List, is not exempt from the state's Right to Know law as a confidential personnel document and returned the case to a lower court for further proceedings to determine whether releasing the list would constitute an invasion of privacy:

"I support the LEACT Commission's recommendation that the Laurie List be made public after steps are taken to ensure that those on the list receive due process. We will work to achieve this goal through the legislature."
