In her first term, Rep. Duba focused her energy on mental health services, although she sees a need in our state for greater access to resources for the elderly, caregivers and families. Serving on an Interim Study Committee focusing on mental telehealth, Rep. Duba helped design the framework by which we can bring mental health professionals to patients, with an emphasis on early intervention and crisis management delivery. She also sponsored, and ultimately saw passed, a bill to fund the 211 Helpline
If reelected, Rep. Duba aims to bring mental health services to all South Dakotans via telehealth. She also will be advancing Alzheimer's legislation to coordinate services across the various state health departments.
