Issue Position: Protecting Maine Jobs

Issue Position

Date: Jan. 1, 2020

With ten grandchildren, Senator Cyrway wants to see a Maine that is prosperous for future generations. He is an advocate for policies that include a friendlier business environment to attract employers alongside policies that encourage workforce development. Maine's current workforce shortage means that more youth need to be encouraged to get an education that includes skills need in today's workforce. Supporting technical education and Maine's community colleges is a key part of that.

Senator Cyrway also knows that to keep and attract businesses that will employ Mainers, Maine must keep taxes low and regulations reasonable. Employers - especially the small businesses that are so important to Maine's economy - cannot survive when they have to shoulder high taxes and fees along with burdensome regulations.
