Expanding Access to Affordable Care

I'm a small business owner. Over the course of my career, my employment has ranged from freelance to full-time--and everything in between. I've been uninsured, under-insured and fully insured. There were years I could barely pay my monthly premium and years I simply couldn't afford to be insured at all.

My experience is not unique. Our healthcare system is undeniably broken, and the COVID19 pandemic has highlighted the vast inequities and roadblocks Americans face every day in the pursuit of affordable healthcare for themselves and their families.

Missourians deserve access to quality, affordable healthcare--without the stress and financial burdens too many families endure. Passing Medicaid expansion in 2020 was a fantastic first step in achieving this. Now we must ensure Medicaid expansion is implemented across the state and truly address the impact healthcare costs have on our families and our economy.
