The states jails and prisons are over capacity which creates a crippling economic burden for our state. What is worse, the system is focused more on detainment, retainment, and prison labor versus rehabilitation and reentry. Angie is committed to pursuing several interconnected solutions to reform this broken system. Including but not limited to major overhauls of the cash bail system to increase the use of civil citations and advocate for the establishment of citizen review boards.

-Advocate to abolish private prisons.
-Advocate for local law enforcement agencies to use civil citations more frequently
-Draft legislation to Abolish the Law Enforcement Bill of Rights
-Draft legislation to enforce Citizen Review Boards and Police Accountability Councils
