Congressman Cohen Announces Research Grant to University of Memphis

Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today announced that the University of Memphis has received a $251,990 grant from the National Science Foundation to acquire a Crystal X-Ray Diffractometer as a regional resource for research and education.

Congressman Cohen made the following statement:

"The scientific apparatus that the U of M will acquire with the support of this National Science Foundation grant will go a long way in supporting basic research and analysis of the structure of various materials, producing important breakthroughs and, potentially, new technologies. I am pleased to announce this grant award which will benefit research efforts across the Mid-South region."
