Putting Veterans First

I am married to a veteran. Most of my friends are veterans. I am a member of the American Legion Auxillary and American Legion Riders. My husband and I both volunteer time and money to help our local veterans. And when possible, we escort veterans on their last ride.

I will always stand for the rights of veterans to get proper health care, including mental health, and to advocate for veteran-owned businesses in New Mexico.

The University of Utah has a National Center for Veterans Studies that is doing amazing research and finding effective ways to treat PTSD and reduce the rate of suicide. I want to do everything I can to bring the latest treatments to our veterans in New Mexico.

Results Of National Center for Veterans Studies
REDUCED SUICIDE ATTEMPTS

Up to 76% reduction in suicide attempts among military personnel who receive treatments developed by the National Center for Veterans Studies (NCVS)

RECOVERED FROM PTSD

Over 70% of service members and veterans receiving services from the NCVS no longer have PTSD after completing treatment
