Issue Position: Religious Liberty and Rights of Conscience for All Hoosiers

Issue Position

Date: Jan. 1, 2020

The right of every person to live according to their most deeply-held convictions, both in private and in public, serves as the cornerstone of a truly free society. As our Indiana state constitution has clearly determined, every Hoosier has the natural right to worship Almighty God according to the dictates of their own consciences. Therefore, no law shall be passed restraining the free interchange of thought and opinion, or restricting the right to speak, write, or print, freely, on any subject whatever. The current erosion of these bedrock Constitutional principles creates a crack in our societal foundation that, if left unchecked, will be the cause of our own undoing.
