Senator Royce West tonight issued the following statement on the impeachment articles against President Donald Trump going to the Senate:

When the House sends the articles of impeachment to the Senate next week, I challenge John Cornyn to carefully examine the evidence submitted before making a decision. Now is not the time to continue to carry Trump's water.

Texans deserve a Senator who will act as an impartial jurist in the Senate, as the gravity of the situation requires.
