Issue Position

Brad Halbrook supports the 2nd Amendment, protecting the rights of citizens to possess firearms. The 2nd Amendment allows people to be personally safe, resist tyranny, and engage in sporting activities.

in 2013, Brad was a cosponsor of the law (Public Act 98-63) that created the right to carry a concealed weapon in Illinois law.

Brad wants to expand the ability for law abiding citizens to carry a concealed weapon. He supports allowing concealed weapons in state parks. He also supports allowing local governments to permit concealed weapons on the property that they control.
