Press Release

Date: July 9, 2020
Location: Las Vegas, NV

Today, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) joined representatives from Three Square and the Food Bank of Northern Nevada to hear directly from them regarding their response to the pandemic and their ideas on how the federal government could help meet their program needs.

"During this public health and economic crisis caused by COVID-19, Three Square and the Food Bank of Northern Nevada have become the only sources of food for many Nevadans," said Senator Rosen. "Food insecurity is a real concern for nearly half a million families in the Silver State in need of food assistance, and the coronavirus outbreak has put an extreme strain on the community's biggest providers of donated meals. I was glad to join both organizations today for an important conversation on how we address this critical issue. I will continue working in Congress to get critical support and resources to those most in need."
