Issue Position

The Storm Recovery Act provides another $180 million in disaster relief to help victims of Hurricanes Dorian, Florence, Michael and Matthew, as well as funding for debris removal, infrastructure repairs and hazard mitigation projects. Importantly, it also invests in resiliency measures that will help prepare our state for future storms. Thanks to responsible budgeting from the General Assembly we have the ability to provide the needed resources to these communities without raising taxes or diverting money from other critical needs.
