Successfully reformed and restructured the state's chronically troubled Medicaid program to save tax dollars, achieve greater budget sustainability and incentivize delivering high-quality care to keep North Carolinians healthy.
Created a new Division of Health Benefits that will fully manage the state's Medicaid program.
Since FY2011, the legislature has had to fill shortfalls totaling nearly $2 billion -- money that could not be invested in other state priorities.
