In 2015 I worked closely with Veteran's groups to make sure that funding was available to build the Northern Nevada Veterans Home in Sparks. I am happy to say that the facility opened this past year in October. Additionally, I worked with veterans on increasing the awareness and education in addressing the exorbitant number of veteran's suicides. A situation which unfortunately continues today.
