Delgado Delivers Meals on Wheels to Seniors in Hyde Park and Rhinebeck

This morning, Congressman Antonio Delgado (NY-19) kicked off his in-district work week focused on the needs and concerns of New York's 19th Congressional District seniors with Meals on Wheels Greater Hyde Park delivering meals to seniors in Hyde Park and Rhinebeck. The Congressman began his visit meeting with the Meals on Wheels leadership team before preparing meals for transport and delivering them to seniors in the area.

"Meals on Wheels is a critical service that ensures seniors the freedom to live at home and access to nutritious food and interaction with the community. I was honored to join Meals on Wheels today to deliver meals throughout Hyde Park and Rhinebeck and hear from seniors in Dutchess County about how important the program is for them." Rep. Delgado continued, "I have proudly supported federal funding for programs that provide home-delivered nutrition services and I thank Meals on Wheels for the important work they do in Upstate New York and around the country."

Meals on Wheels Greater Hyde Park President Jack Fenton said, "Meals on Wheels is about giving people the opportunity to live at home, in their own community for as long as they choose. It helps them feel safer and less isolated while receiving nutritious, home-delivered meals. We are very proud of the service we provide and are happy to have Congressman Delgado join us in delivering meals in Hyde Park and his hometown of Rhinebeck."
