Assistant Secretary of Interior for Insular and International Affairs Doug Domenech and Office of Insular Affairs Director Nikolao Pula met with me at the congressional office on Thursday. We discussed planning for the Interagency Group on Insular Affairs meeting in February, the pace of typhoon recovery efforts, the administration's missed deadline for new CW regulations, the end of parole for Chinese tourists, the US strategic position in the Pacific, and the upcoming hearing I have scheduled in the Natural Resources Committee. I appreciate the Assistant Secretary's collaboration.
