Congressman David Kustoff (TN-08) today released the following statement in response to the anti-Semitic comments made by Freshman Democratic Representative Ilhan Omar (MN-05).

Congressman Kustoff said: "Even before being elected, Representative Ilhan Omar's anti-Semitic statements were known by many. I had hoped these disturbing, stereotypical comments were part of her past as she entered her new role as a Member of Congress . Unfortunately, I was wrong. Last night went too far, and I can no longer sit by as she spews such hate through outrageous comments regarding Israel and the Jewish people. Enough is enough. We cannot tolerate her deeply anti-Semitic remarks and toxic words, as they have no place in Congress and our country."
