"Undersecretary Patenaude has been a true friend and ally and it is s huge disappointment to hear of her departure from HUD. All through the crisis after the disaster devastation she joined me repeatedly in Puerto Rico, seeing firsthand the scale of destruction and the human need, and serving as an invaluable voice in conveying our needs to Secretary Carson, and achieving the increase in CDBG-DR from the original 11 Billion to 20 Billion.

However, we will miss having this direct experience and knowledge especially at a time when we badly need to speed up the process to get those funds where and to whom they need to get.

Thank you, Pam, for being a friend and a supporter and for always being there for me and for Puerto Rico when we needed it most. You can count on me in any future endeavor and I wish you all the best."
