Issue Position

Getting to and from work everyday can be treacherous when a Michigan Motorist dodges one pothole to tumble into another. Michigan received a D+ in 2018 concerning infrastructure. It must be a priority that the State makes sure that our roads and bridges are sound and that water and sewage systems are effective. Paquette will seek to streamline the process of environmental review and actively invest in technologies to enhance infrastructure durability that over time costs the taxpayer less. He will also make sure that grants are available to support municipalities with their aging water treatment systems. The State of Michigan must also assist Municipalities in developing Asset Management Plans to study conditions of sewer collection and water treatment systems.
