Issue Position

I'm proud to have voted for $150 million in tax relief for hundreds of thousands of hard-working Arkansans. There is still more to be done. Arkansas's tax structure is not competitive with our neighbors and many other states. The income tax code is in desperate need of reform that can both lower taxes responsibly and bring relief to working families. We can spur business expansion and job growth by lessening the burden on our small business as well. I support:

A reduction in the state income tax so that working-class Arkansans are not disproportionately burdened by a top tax rate of 7%
Eliminating the state's tax on manufacturing equipment
Lowering taxes on utilities for small businesses
