Issue Position

Supports the 2nd Amendment and NH remaining a constitutional carry state. The 2nd Amendment is a fundamental right that has been granted to the people that allows law-abiding individuals to own and carry firearms to defend themselves, their families and their property.

James Madison reiterated in Federalist Papers No. 46 that the American people have the Right to Bear Arms. The SCOTUS affirmed in District of Columbia et al. v. Heller that the "Second Amendment protects an individual right to possess a firearm unconnected with service in a militia, and to use that arm for traditionally lawful purposes, such as self-defense within the home."
