Issues: Environment
We must protect our environment both for our current quality of life and for our future sustainability by reducing our carbon footprint and working to mitigate climate change, protecting the Chesapeake Bay, preserving open space and strengthening forest conservation, and decreasing our reliance on landfills & incinerators by increasing recycling and composting. In my career I have helped develop and implement the Howard County Climate Action Plan, preserved and protected critical environmental areas through the green infrastructure network, and led comprehensive water quality protection efforts for the region.
