Issue Position: Support Our Veterans

Issue Position

Growing up in a Military family, I have great respect for the sacrifices of our Veterans. Maryland is home to 480,000 Veterans and I believe we should do everything we can to assist them in transitioning into civilian life. Veteran homelessness and suicide rates still outpace their civilian counterparts. We need to address these challenges. Many of our veterans have specialty training as well as organizational and leadership skills. I believe we can help them utilize these skills to become successful.
