Issue Position

Hilo is a hidden gem and frequently overlooked by our state's visitors. One of my favorite things to do is hang out with the aunties and uncles and hear them talk about the "glory days" when Banyan Drive was hopping and full of activity. I know we can find a way to bring jobs and economic activity to Hilo while still maintaining our identity and small-town values. Going forward, I will support a vision for Hilo that maintains our cultural identity while providing quality job and educational opportunities for local families.
