Issue Position

As the daughter of a civil rights activist, I know how important it is to protect the rights and freedoms of others. That is why I am proud to stand with Georgia's LGBTQIA community. I pledge to always vote against regressive "religious liberty" bills that legalize discrimination, and to push for protected status for all LGBTQIA folks to prevent discrimination in housing, employment, and other vital areas.

I also know that HIV is a constant threat to our community regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity, and that's why I'll fight for more funding for our community health centers for testing and treatment, and I fully support updating our testing protocols so that we include information on antiviral treatments and life saving medications along with the current information on barriers.
